Reptile Fossils

Reptiles have been around on earth since the late Carboniferous period, they also encompassed dinosaurs, marine reptiles and pterosaurs. However, these animals are now long extinct, but alongside them also lived other reptiles which are still very much alive today, such as crocodiles, snakes, turtles, lizards and more. Modern science now relates many reptiles to birds and as such, has split the family in two avian and non avian reptiles, these fossil specimens in this category mainly concentrate on non avian reptiles such as teeth from mosasaurs, crocodiles skulls and lizard bone fragments.
