Specimens of sphalerite with barian celestine or barytocelestine from Chipping Sodbury Mine, Gloucestershire, UK. Barian celestine is a barium rich variety of celestine. Sphalerite is a zinc sulfide mineral and the primary ore of zinc. These samples have a high content of iron giving them a striking submetallic lustre and an opaque, dark grey appearance. Specimens are supplied in a white card tray with an information label, an excellent addition to any British mineral collection.
