This Brachyaspidion microps trilobite fossil of mid Cambrian age was collected in Utah, USA. This particular specimen was found in the House range of Utah. Although the shales of House Range are predominantly non-fossiliferous, they do contain occasional beds which are particularly fossil dense and contain many of the same fossils as those found at Burgess Shale. Despite being so small at 0.6 cm in length and 0.4 cm in width, fantastic detail is still preserved in this specimen. The trilobite sits within a shale matrix 3 x 2 cm and is supplied in a clear plastic bag with an information label attached.
