Chione cancellata is a species of marine bivalve which are still alive today. They are a small size mollusc, these particular fossil specimens measure 3 cm in size, they have excellent morphological details present, such as growth lines and ribbing. They are of Pliocene age and were found in the Waccamaw formation located in Myrtle beach, South Carolina. Each sample comes supplied in a plastic packet with an information label.
