Specimens of Chrome Diopside in a Calcite and Tremolite matrix found in Mo i Rana, Norway. The Chrome Diopside is easily identified as the bright green crystaliine mineral, which is embedded within the pale white Calcite and Tremolite matrix. Tremolite is a white (sometimes grey) amphibole mineral which is often found within igneous rocks but is also characteristic of many metamorphosed dolomites & limestone. In this case it also accounts for the presence of Calcite within the matrix as well. Specimens are supplied in a white card tray and come with a information label.
