Includes a 3-axis electronic compass with barometric altimeter, wireless connectivity. With the GPSMAP 66S a built-in 3-axis tilt-compensated electronic compass, which shows your heading even when you're standing still, without holding it level. Its barometric altimeter tracks changes in pressure to pinpoint your precise altitude, and you can even use it to plot barometric pressure over time, which can help you keep an eye on changing weather conditions. It also comes as standard with expanded wireless connectivity supports Active Weather for up-to-date forecasts and animated weather radar for you to easier read and understand whilst on the move under any weather condition as well as Geocaching Live for mobile syncing and updates. This model is compatible with the Garmin Explore™ website and app to help you manage tracks, routes and way points, and review statistics from the field which you have previous visited, an excellent piece of kit for field work, especially if you need to retrace points or revisit certain spots to double check your note or gather geological or sedimentary samples. A handy LED flashlight function is included, assisting you in low lighting conditions, plus up to 16 hours of battery life in GPS mode and 1 week in expedition mode should you be away from a power source for an extended period of time.
