Details

An excellent fossil set specifically designed for children featuring 20 genuine fossil specimens all housed in a smart sturdy box. this set, like all of our others is made at our warehouse, not imported or bought from a supplier. The specimens are all hand picked, bagged and boxed by our staff. It is comprised of a sturdy card board box with a flip open lid, inside which are the 20 fossil specimens, each fossil specimen is kept within a small polythene bag with contains both the fossil and a small identification label which details the specimens name, age and location it was found. This also prevents the specimens from getting damaged or becoming mixed up. Also included is a small plastic magnifier lens with x4 magnification, which will allow children to view the fossils in even more intricate detail. Finally, a small data sheet is provided which has a geological time line printed on it and details the geological periods, millions of years and any significant plants and animals of those periods. Fossil included vary and belong to many of the main groups such as bivalves, brachiopods, trilobites, sharks and more. Overall, and excellent and economical box set for children of the age of 6 and upwards who are beginning to show an interest in fossils and geology. Specimens included are: Shelly limestone, sea sponge, crinoid stem, belemnite shell, dinosaur bone fragment, echinoid, brachiopod, fossil twig, trilobite fragment, horn coral, atrypa, gastropod, marine reptile bone fragment, agatised bivalve, goniatite, bivalve, ray teeth plate, shark tooth, orthoceras shell and branch coral.
