Specimens of goethite on baryte crystals from Taffs Well, Wales, UK. These samples of goethite have a black colouration as is typical for this mineral species and a botyroidal crystal habit. These crystals have grown upon baryte, the baryte crystals show a bladed or massive habit. Some pieces have small amounts of calcite present as well as quartz crystals, some of which have a yellow colouration. Specimens are supplied in white card trays or in perspex magnifier boxes and come with an information label. These are must have samples for any British mineral collector.
