Fish Coprolites found in the Jurassic Oxford Clay Formation of Orton, Peterborough. Coprolites are fossilised feces, they are classified as trace fossils because they only provide us with evidence of previous animal activity and existence. Although rarely can a producer of the coprolite be identified from the coprolite alone; they still tell palaeontologists important information regarding the diet of the animal. Naturally these coprolites vary in size between 1 and 5 cm, they are sold as small 1 cm, medium 2.5 cm and large + 2.5 cm. Each individual coprolite is supplied in a small plastic bag with an information label.
