The Mapwork for A Level Geology Study Guide explains how to interpret the geological maps used in AS and A2 exams (WJEC and OCR). Worked examples – including some from past exams – show how to draw cross sections and compile a geological history of the area. The more advanced maps produced by the British Geological Survey are explained, and there is an introduction to strike lines (although these are not required for A Level). The guide is designed to cover the units of the WJEC specifications which include mapwork (GL2 and GL4-E4) and is equally appropriate for the OCR units which involve mapping.
The study guide includes the following sections
* other structures
* how to draw a section
* BGS maps
* simple strike lines
* how to make a map
* past questions (OCR and WJEC)
This guide is included in the WJEC AS and A2 course guides on CD.
If you are purchasing the full AS, A2 or A Level course guides on CD, there is no need to purchase this Mapwork CD
