Orbiculoidea is an extinct species of brachiopod, they are quite small, only around 1 cm in size and almost look like stone discs, hence, from this feature, they belong with other similar species in the Discinidae family. They were a species of fauna present during the Carboniferous period, making them between 358 to 298 million years old. Not much can be infered about this species, however, the fossil specimens have been prepped and cleaned so are free of matrix, they will come supplied in a small packet with a data label.
