An exceptional specimen of rhodochrosite, pyrite and sphalerite from Trepca mine in Stan Terg, Mitovica, Kosovo. This piece features the mineral rhodochrosite in a pastel colour with a botryoidal habit, also present are pyrite flecks and cubic crystals. The sample also has minute inclusions of both sphalerite and pyrrhotite, this combination of minerals has resulted in a beautiful piece which shows a wonderful contrast between its colours and lustres. The specimen weighs roughly 137 grams and measures approximately 7 x 4.5 x 3 cm, it is supplied in a 3" x 2" white card tray with an information label. This display piece is a must have for any serious mineral collector due to its rarity and its source location which has only recently become accessible.
