Shelly limestone which dates back to the Cuisian stage of the Eocene epoch, collected from Soissons in France. This limestone is densely packed with bivalves, some fragmented, most disarticulated and few whole; it is a textbook death assemblage. Less dominant gastropods are also present within the matrix; this rock would prove particularly useful for educational purposes, learning how to interpret the paleoenvironment and depositional processes of the rock on this basis of its characteristics and constituents. We have numerous sizes available, supplied in either 3" x 2" or 4" x 3" card trays according to the size of the specimen. We also have some extra large specimens which measure approximately 13 x 13 cm and are expected to sell fast. Each specimen is supplied with an information label.
