Sagenodus dental plate of Maastrictian age, that's approximately 66 to 72 Mya during the Cretaceous period. This specimen was collected from Taouz, Morocco. Sagenodus was a prehistoric lungfush, Lungfish represent an important group of fish which are believed to be close ancestors to the earliest terrestrial vertebrates. Two fragmented pieces of dental plate comprise this specimen, both are approximately 2 cm in length and are supplied with an information label.
