A Display piece of sphalerite, boulangerite, quartz and siderite from Trepca mine in Stan Terg, Mitovica, Kosovo.This specimen shows the mineral sphalerite with fine filiform needles of boulangerite over quartz crystals atop a siderite base, the piece also has small inclusions of dolomite crystals. This sample has wonderful aesthetic due to one half of the siderite being coated in sphalerite crystals with dolomite crystal inclusions on one half. The other half of the sphalerite is coated in fine filiform needles of boulangerite crystals which coat emerging quartz crystals. The piece weighs roughly 1289 grams and measures approximately 15.5 x 10 x 4.5 cm, it is supplied in a 5" x 3.5" white card tray with an information label. This is a must have addition to any serious mineral collection as it features multiple species of mineral.
