Turritella incrassata gastropod mollusc collected from the Pleistocene Red Crag Formation of Walton on Naze, Essex. Turritella is a genus of marine gastropod mollusc and although this specimen dates back 2.5 million to 11,700 years, the genus Turritella is still alive today. This specimen is in good condition; it exhibits the characteristic turreted shell shape and measures 5 cm in length from the base of the aperture to the apex of the shell. The gastropod is supplied in a small plastic bag with an information label.
