The latest addition to our range of sample tag books. This particular tag books is similar in layout to our 'Sample Ticket Book' however, the pages are instead made out of industrial tyvek.
Tyvek is a form of flash spun high-density polyethylene fibres, a synthetic material that is very strong, difficult to tear; waterproof, breathable and can withstand temperatures safely up to 117 degrees Celsius. Often used in the mining and mineral exploration sector in the form of sample collecting bags, this variety of tyvek is known as 'industrial' and feels and acts more like paper. This has all the advantages of tyvek material with the ability to be written on. Due to the temperature range tyvek can withstand, the tags can be kept with specimens, even when placed in ovens at or below 117 degrees Celsius when drying.
The tag book itself has 3 sections. The first is for description of field samples and the second and third have tear-off strips, which can be placed with the sample, to be corresponded with later in the lab. The inside of the cover page also has various references to aid when making sample descriptions.
Each book has 50 leaves and is printed on one side only, has a stapled spine and a laminated back for extra strength when used in the field.
We can also have specific sequences of numbers printed to fit in with your current drilling programme if required. Please contact us via email.
