Xanthopsis leachi is a species of crab from the Eocene epoch. This particular specimen was found within the London Clay Formation at the Isle of Sheppey, Kent. The London Clay Formation is well known for the fossils which it contains. Fossils present indicate that during the lower Eocene epoch, the Isle of Sheppey was submerged by a warm, shallow sea. This specimen is matrix free and 1.5 cm wide. It comes in a small plastic bad with an information label.
