  • Fluorite Octahedron – Illinois

    Fluorite octahedron crystals from southern Illinois, USA. These mineral specimens are around 7 – 15 mm in size and available in three colours, clear, blue or purple and all are translucent, allowing some light through, giving them a gem quality colour and appearance. These octahedron crystals, while genuine fluorite have been cleaved into these shapes, a practice which has been practiced from some 200 years and still continues to this day with fluorite crystals from China. Due to the small size, these samples will come supplied in a x4 magnifier box.
