  • Baryte, Galena and Fluorite Showing Paragenesis £3.60£6.20 ex VAT

    Layered mineral specimens consisting of bands of baryte, galena and fluorite, collected from Weardale, County Durham in the UK. These specimens display the process of paragenesis in a hydrothermal vein which is the sequence at which the minerals form based on order of solubility. Galena is a lead ore and thus has an important industrial role whereas Baryte and galena are “gangue minerals” and so have a much lower economic value when in small quantities. These samples come supplied in a white card tray with an information label and are ideal for educational purposes,
