First published in 1975, the book details the various different rocks and stones used in the construction of many of the buildings within central Manchester. Since 1975 however, there have been many changes, some buildings demolished with new ones taking their place. This is the latest edition of ‘A Building Stones Guide to Central Manchester’ and gives an up to date explanation of all the various building stones used in Manchester given as a ‘walk through’ tour of the city along with various explanations of the stones geology etc.
