Specimens of Annularia from Marles-les-mines, Pas-de-Calais, France. They have been dated to the Carboniferous period, Westphalian. Annularia are the leaves of the calamites plants which are an extinct genus of horsetails, the leaves are particularly attractive due to their radiating appearance which can be eye catching. These trees were thought to have grown in excess of 10 meters in height. Specimens are supplied in 4" x 3" white card tray with an information label. These samples are perfect for any fossil collection but would also be ideal for educational use.
