Aragonite groups or crystals beds from Morocco, they appear to have a calming white or pale yellow to light brown colouration and excellent botryoidal crystal habits, in some cases almost stalactitic. Aragonite is one of the two common, naturally occurring crystaliine forms of calcium carbonate, CaCO3 , the other being Calcite. It is formed by both biological and physical processes, including precipitation from marine and freshwater environments or in terms of biology, some shell fish shells are composed of aragonite as are some corals. These mineral specimens are available by weight in lots of 1 kilogram, the sizes of the samples will vary between 20 mm to 60 mm and will come supplied in a polythene bag with an information label.

Oragne gypsum, particularly, the variety, satin spar, due to it’s fibrous needle like crystals, available by weight in lots of 1 kilogram bags, supplied in a polythene bag with a label, the gypsum exhibits an orange hue due to the presence of hematite. An excellent source of a quantity of minerals for effective costs, suotable for educational use, kits or more, the pack also comes with a data label.
This pure olivine, also known as Dunite Peridotite shows a bright green colouration. The specimens come from Norway and may contain streaks of the rare mineral Kammererite which appears silver in colour. Some specimens may be granular in texture whereas some may be more crystalline. Specimens are supplied in a polythene bag in lots of 1 kg with a label.

1 kilogram of galena with baryte, collected from Morocco, these mineral specimens are excellent to show associations between certain ores. The samples vary between 20 mm to 50 mm in size and come supplied by weight in a polythene bag with an information label. These contrast of colours between off white baryte and blue galena with a metallic lustre, make for instresting samples to observe. NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 12 YEARS OLD.

Excellent quality samples mined from Bouldy mine, Redcar in Yorkshire, UK, the pieces are clear to orange and transluscent, some may show cubic crystal cleavage too as well as inclusions of clay. Blue calcite mineral samples supplied by weight, this blue variation is due to the presence of oxidised copper impurities within the crystals. These particular samples also show the rhombic crystal structure of calcite and can easily be seen with the naked eye. When formed in masses such as these pieces, the samples are known as ‘massive’. This blue calcite is available by weight, starting from 500 grams, and is suitable for lapidary, educational and enthusiasts use. the pieces vary from 20 mm to 100 mm though most pieces will sit in-between and come supplied in a polythene bag with a label.
