Good partial tooth remains of Asteracanthus collected from Stonesfield, Oxon, UK. Asteracanthus is an extinct genus of shark and fossils of this genus range from the Devonian through to the Cretaceous in age. This particular tooth is of Bathonian age, that’s approximately 166 to 168 million years ago during the Jurassic period. The tooth is approximately 1 cm in length and is supplied in a small plastic bag with an information label.
