Specimens of Talc, collected from Egypt. Talc is a common clay mineral that is easily identifiable due to its greasy texture. Talc is extremely soft, with a hardness of just 1 on Mohs scale and is also the primary component in talcum powder. These specimens are pale green in colour. They come in a heavy duty polythene bag with pieces of various sizes.
Specimens of Magnetite, collected from Norway. Magnetite is a major iron ore, with a dark grey to black colouration. Magnetite is also one of the most magnetic of the iron minerals, and as expected it is also highly dense. These specimens come in lots of 1kg, in a heavy duty polythene bag. These particular specimens are rough and unpolished, also containing quartz and come from India, the samples will come supplied in a polythene bag along with an information card, the pieces inside will vary in size between 20 mm to 75 mm, purchasing by weight is ideal for classes, kits or other events where larger quantities are required for a more cost effective price.
