Cheirurus insignis is a trilobite species found in the famous Wenlock formation, it is of Silurian age, dating the specimens to 433 and 427 million years old and were found in Listice, Czech Republic. The formation is limestone, and so these specimens which are of the cephalons only are in a limestone matrix, they measure approximately 2 to 3 cm in size and come supplied in a packet with an information label.
