A great example of vertebra preservation, this specimen found in the Kimmeridgian clay of Abingdon in Oxfordshire. Colymbosaurus was a common species of Plesiosaur during the Jurassic period. These marine reptiles had elongated necks, four long fins and grew up to 5 meters in length. This vertebra, found in the Kimmeridgian clay's of Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK is dated to between 157 to 152 million years ago, and has been cut and polished on one side, which shows the cross section of the vertebra in great detail. Other faces exhibit a rough and genuine texture. The specimen weighs 582 g and comes supplied with a white card tray and accompanying information label.
