It features a Base plate 85 x 100 mm with a bubble level. The magnetic needle is 50 mm long and utilises inclination weight to allow the device to be used globally. The graduations on the compass circle are accurate, at 1° counterclockwise numbering in mupltiples of 10° each and features international cardinal points (East and West inverse) The compass needle also features a resting device allowing you to lock the needle on a particular direction. Beneath the compass needle, there is a gravity driven pendulum clinometer +/- 90° and also two suspension hooks on each side of the dial serving also as sights. The compass and clinometer are housed within a non magnetic rugged cover of metal with a total weight 140 grams and comes supplied with a leather case.
