Specimens of massive grey dolomite with a somewhat rhombic form from the selåsvatn actinolite occurrence, Aust-Agder, Norway. These samples are possibly a form of ankerite though most likely a iron bearing form of dolomite. Dolomite is a calcium magnesium carbonate it often forms as small rhombohedral crystals, though in this case it has formed as massive rhoms, dolomite has a Moh's hardness rating of 3.5 - 4 and a white streak.Specimens are supplied in a white card tray with an information label, an interesting variation of dolomite and a must have for any mineral collection.
