Estwing Geo/Paleo pick as the name suggests is a strike tool specifically designed for use by geologists, particularly, palaeontologists, who often undertake work in the field to uncover fossilised remains. This fantastic hammers boasts a log, 64 cm overall length and a 35 cm head length. Manufactured in the USA using Estwings drop forge technique and American steel, the hammer produced is solid to the core and features a head with a wide chisel edge which tapers to a shallow point, making it suitable for chipping, prying and scooping material. On the other side of the head is a pointed tip, excellent for delicate extraction of fossils from their surrounding matrix. The handle is made from textured vinyl which offers excellent grip as well as comfort. This excellent hammer is designed with professionals in mind and as with other Estwing tools, it doesn’t fail to impress.
