The Estwing E30 geological hammer is the companies classic design, it is made from a single piece of drop forged American steel with a leather bound handle. The head weighs 22 oz, (624 grams) and features a flat face with a pointed tip on the opposing side. The head weigh is 624 grams with a flat face and pointed tip for breaking ir picking at rocks, fossils or minerals. As a special edition piece, it features a black coated shaft and a tyrannosaurus-rex skull logo on the handle.
