The Estwing E30SE special edition geological hammer features a 22oz (624 gram) head, manufactured using Estwing’s patented drop forge method. This means the entire hammer is forged from a single piece of steel, reducing the risk of the it breaking. Furthermore, this forging process also enhances the hammer’s ability to absorb impact and shocks, optimising reliability and durability.
Similar to the E-30 model, this hammer features a pointed tip, perfectly suited for intricate and precise rock-breaking. This pointed tip is ideal for tasks such as extracting crystals or fossils from matrix, or prying rocks apart. On the other end of the head lies a flat surface, providing a robust striking area to break down rocks with ease.
The hammer’s design includes a non-reflective matte black finish along the shaft, minimising glare when breaking. Its traditional bound leather grip, specially lacquered to prevent unravelling, offers a comfortable and secure hold.
