This Fish vertebra was collected from the Cretaceous, Kansas Chalk sediments of Kansas, USA. The bone is easily identifiable as a vertebrae however the species from which it originated is undetermined. This vertebra specimen is in good condition however it has been distorted due to compression. It measures 2.5 cm in length and is supplied in a small plastic bag with an information label. The Western Kansas Chalk beds are well recognized among paleontologists because they have yielded complete fossils of giant flying and marine reptiles and fish up to 20 feet in length.
