Fluorescent chalcedony nodule mineral specimens from Morocco. This mineral belongs to the quartz family of minerals and is very similar to carnelian, even having a waxy lustre, although it tends to have a botryoidal crystal habit. These particular samples are fluorescent under shortwave UV light and fluoresce a pale purple colour with some of the darker nodules showing a pale yellow/orange colour. These pieces would be a great addition to any mineral collection but would also be ideal for educational use, specimens are supplied in a 2" x 2" white card tray with an information label.
