A display specimen of fluorite with baryte and calcite from Milldam mine, Derbyshire, UK. Fluorite (also known as fluorspar) is a popular mineral specimen for many, children, teachers, collectors etc, it often forms with a cubic crystal habit with the crystals being a variety of colours and sizes from deep rich purples, vibrant greens, calming yellows and sometimes crystal clear. This particular sample displays excellent clear fluorite cubes with purple edging over calcite, as well as small amounts of baryte. The specimen weighs approximately 1.373 kg and measures roughly 16.5 x 8 x 8 cm at it’s widest points. This piece is supplied with an information label and is ideal for collectors of British mineral samples.
