A wonderful display specimen of fluorite with baryte from Milldam mine, Derbyshire, UK. Fluorite (also known as fluorspar) is a popular mineral specimen for many, children, teachers, collectors etc, it often forms with a cubic crystal habit with the crystals being a variety of colours and sizes from deep rich purples, vibrant greens, calming yellows and sometimes crystal clear. This particular sample displays numerous clear fluorite cubes with purple edging as well as small amounts of baryte, additionally this piece shows beautiful banding with purple and white colouration. The specimen weighs approximately 1.664 kg and measures roughly 19.5 x 9 x 8.5 cm at it’s widest points. This piece is supplied with an information label, an excellent addition to any British mineral collection.
