Fluorite is a popular mineral specimen for many, children, teachers, collectors etc, it often forms with a cubic crystal habit with the crystals being a variety of colours and sizes from deep rich purples, vibrant greens, calming yellows and sometimes crystal clear. The history of fluorspar mining in the region began in 1882 and finally finished in 1999, with the closure of the Frazer Hush Mine These samples while not as high grade as our samples from Derbyshire are still excellent for educational use. They are also great for smaller mineral collections and collectors of British minerals. These specimens are clear/yellow in colour but are somewhat translucent or opaque due to mineral impurities. These pieces are supplied in a white card tray with an information label.

Fluorite octahedron crystals from China exhibiting the perfect crystal habit of the mineral, the crystals range from transluscent greens, purples and pinks and while they are natural fluorite, the mineral has been broken down to the shape utilising fluorites own cleavage.
