Specimens of purple to clear fluorite from Mexico. Fluorite is a popular mineral specimen for many, children, teachers, collectors etc, it often forms with a cubic crystal habit with the crystals being a variety of colours and sizes from deep rich purples, vibrant greens, calming yellows and sometimes crystal clear. The history of fluorspar mining in the region began in 1882 and finally finished in 1999, with the closure of the Frazer Hush Mine. These specimens are purple to clear in colour though the intensity varies in the specimens from a deep purple to an almost clear crystal with a faint purple tinge. These samples are supplied in a white card tray with an information label and would be an excellent addition to any mineral collection.

Cut ulexite mineral specimens from California, USA. A mineral similar to gypsum, ulexite is able to transmit light through its long axis, meaning if placed above an image or text, will transmit it to the samples surface as an image.
