Pyromorphite crytsals on a baryte matrix mineral specimens from Caldbeck Fells, Cumbria. The crystals are globular in formation with a dull green colour which is in contrast to the yellow or pink baryte matrix. When found in sufficient quantities, the mineral tends to be mined and used as lead ore. Available in various sizes and supplied in a card tray with a label.

Muscovite mica sheets from Iveland, Southern Norway, specimens depict the basal cleavage of this mineral excellently as well as it’s elasticity, sometimes being referred to as ‘books’ of mica sheets. These samples were collected by staff from Norway, they have a vitreous lustre and are available in various sizes, all pieces supplied in a card tray with an information label.

Fire opal chips, varying between 5 to 10 mm in sizes from Mexico, exhibiting a vibrant, powerful orange and red colour with some yellow, very firey, supplied only by weight in lots of 50 grams the pieces will come in a pouch with a data label.

Lepidolite mica mineral specimens, exhibiting excellent sheet cleavage crystals as expected, the samples are a viva lilac colouration and come from Brazil, well known as a source of lithium, these pieces are available in multiple sizes and come in a card tray with a data label.

Pyrrhotite mineral specimens from Evje, southern Norway, the samples are grey in colour and and have a metallic lustre which is very shiny when a fresh surface is exposed, however, these surfaces dull very quickly upon exposure to the air. Noticiably magnetic like magnetite, this iron sulphide mineral is fairly dense, was collected by staff from Norway and is available in a small size only. Supplied in a 2″ x 2″ card tray with a label.

Molybdenite mineral specimens from Canada, similar in appearance to graphite, it is silver, has a metallic lustre and is the ore for molybdenum. Often found in hydrothermal veins our specimens are pure and small, thin around 1 inch in size and supplied in a polythene bag with an information card.
