Kraft sample bags are made using the ‘Kraft’ pulping process resulting thicker paper, making the envelopes strong and ideal for storing geological field specimens and geochemical soil samples, including wet samples. Each bag has an aluminium tie which can be twisted to seal the bag. These are wet strength kraft envelopes, and are ideal for use in storing both dry and wet geochemical soil samples. Each envelope measures 5″ x 10″ (125 mm x 250 mm) in size and are supplied in lots of 100.

5 x 7 inch size sentry bags made from spun polyester, these sampling bags are large, ideal for obtaining light weights of geochemical soil samples, even if they are wet as these bags allow water to drain out. White in colour with a nylon drawstring closure, the bags also have a yellow sewn in printed tyvek label with space to add more annotations.

Pyromorphite crytsals on a baryte matrix mineral specimens from Caldbeck Fells, Cumbria. The crystals are globular in formation with a dull green colour which is in contrast to the yellow or pink baryte matrix. When found in sufficient quantities, the mineral tends to be mined and used as lead ore. Available in various sizes and supplied in a card tray with a label.

Pyrrhotite mineral specimens from Evje, southern Norway, the samples are grey in colour and and have a metallic lustre which is very shiny when a fresh surface is exposed, however, these surfaces dull very quickly upon exposure to the air. Noticiably magnetic like magnetite, this iron sulphide mineral is fairly dense, was collected by staff from Norway and is available in a small size only. Supplied in a 2″ x 2″ card tray with a label.
