The KT‐20 magnetic susceptibility meter is a handheld instrument which can measure the magnetic susceptibility, conductivity or density of a mineral, rock or drill core sample. Its modular design gives users the ability to employ different sensors that work at optimal frequency for either magnetic susceptibility or conductivity. Density measurements can also be obtained from the meter providing more information about the sample. A picture, audio note, text note and GPS coordinates can also be added to the measurement to increase the amount of information users can attach to each record to improving archiving. Over all, this magnetic susceptibility meter is an all in one instrument which fits into your hand. The KT-20, unlike it's predecessor comes with 3 optional sensors, these are:

  • 1/10 kHz Dual-Frequency Sensor (rectangle shape)
  • 10/100 kHz Dual-Frequency Sensor (circular shape)
  • 10 kHz Single-Frequency Sensor (circular shape)

Simply select which sensor you would like in the drop down menu.

However, there are many other benefits to the KT-20 magnetic susceptibility meter, such as induced polarization/resistivity sensor a large 32 cm diameter pole sensor, increased ranges, calibration pads and much more. If you would like a break down of these costs, a custom quotation or assistance on what attachment or set up would best suit your needs, please email us and we will provide documents, manuals, specifications or even put you in touch with the manufacturer to obtain training and direct support. Please feel free to contact us if you wish to read a copy of the manual.
