Laurus fossil leaves within a travertine matrix, dated to the Miocene epoch within the Neogene period. They were collected from Malta and are with a travertine matrix, a form of limestone which tends to be deposited from mineral springs, as a sediment, it has a muddy texture, flora and fauna which fall into this mud become preserved as fossils. The leaves are fragmented however enough of them have retained their shape and morphological details that they can be easily identified as such. Supplied in a card tray with an information label and are available in 2 sizes.
