Leioceras Opalinium ammonite fossil collected from the Jurassic, Bajocian sediments of Bridport, Dorset. Leioceras Opalinium has proven to be an important zone fossil, marking the beginning of the Alenian stage. Leioceras' are known for having compressed, involute shells; these specimens exhibit these features along with growth lines. This ammonite can purchased loose or attached to matrix; specimens without matrix show slightly better detail. The ammonite on limestone matrix measures 1.5 cm in diameter while loose specimens measure approximately 2.5 cm in diameter. Supplied in a small plastic bag with an information label.
