A5 in size, the card contains relevant geological data on both sides. One side contains over 40 different sedimentary logging symbols such as ‘Breccia’, ‘cross bedding’, ‘tuff’, and so forth.. On the opposite side, a wide variety of common geological mapping symbols are printed including ‘inclined strata’, ‘faults’, ‘mineral veins’ etc. Also includes a geological time scale.
The card is printed onto translucent plastic for easy reading and comparing against grain size and texture in the field. The card includes a sorting chart, roundness scale and percentage by area images and is 149mm x 72mm, made from plastic it is completely waterproof and tear resistant.

Massive Biotite Mica specimens, collected from Arendal, Norway. These specimens depict a “massive” crystal structure, as opposed to the more commonly seen sheets. Like all biotite mica, these specimens are dark in colour, exhibiting a dark grey to black hue. Mica is one of the most common mineral groups, with biotite being the most abundant member. Biotite is very common in igneous and metamorphic rocks, with the dark minerals in granites, pegmatites and gneiss often being due in some part to the presence of this black mica. This massive biotite are available in limited supply so we recommend you move fast if you wish to add a piece to your collection. Supplied in a white card tray with information label.

Specimens of Epidote from Michigan, USA. In particular, they have been collected from the Laurium Mine, Osceola, Houghton County. Epidote is an abundant rock forming mineral that is most commonly green in colour. These specimens date from the Stenian period, approximetely 1 – 1.2 billion years ago. These specimens are available in limited supply, with two different size options. They come supplied in a white card tray with information label.

Specimens of Chrome Diopside that were collected from the Gusdal Olivine Pit, Åheim, Norway. These samples are best described as chrome bearing diopside. Diopside, a vivid green pyroxene mineral, features streaks of grey chromite that creates a stunning mineral sample that would be the perfect addition to any collection. Whilst many samples of chrome diopside tend to be crystalline in nature, our samples are unique as the feature a grainier, more crumbly texture. Estwing E6-22BLC is a moderately heavy geological hammer featuring a wider than usual flat breaking face for crushing material along with a wide chisel edge for cutting, chipping and prying material. Suitable for both hard and soft rock geology, the hammer is cast from a single piece of American steel and features the anti-shock grip with a blue colouration for easily visibility. The hammer offers a hefty weight giving excellent force per strike along with suitable control.
