A5 in size, the card contains relevant geological data on both sides. One side contains over 40 different sedimentary logging symbols such as ‘Breccia’, ‘cross bedding’, ‘tuff’, and so forth.. On the opposite side, a wide variety of common geological mapping symbols are printed including ‘inclined strata’, ‘faults’, ‘mineral veins’ etc. Also includes a geological time scale.
Specimens of Baryte, collected from Derbyshire. Baryte is a dense, common, well known mineral. These specimens exhibit bladed crystals and range in colour from pale beige to off white. Specimens are available in multiple sizes and come in a white card tray with an information label.
Estwing E6-22BLC is a moderately heavy geological hammer featuring a wider than usual flat breaking face for crushing material along with a wide chisel edge for cutting, chipping and prying material. Suitable for both hard and soft rock geology, the hammer is cast from a single piece of American steel and features the anti-shock grip with a blue colouration for easily visibility. The hammer offers a hefty weight giving excellent force per strike along with suitable control.

Massive Biotite Mica specimens, collected from Arendal, Norway. These specimens depict a “massive” crystal structure, as opposed to the more commonly seen sheets. Like all biotite mica, these specimens are dark in colour, exhibiting a dark grey to black hue. Mica is one of the most common mineral groups, with biotite being the most abundant member. Biotite is very common in igneous and metamorphic rocks, with the dark minerals in granites, pegmatites and gneiss often being due in some part to the presence of this black mica. This massive biotite are available in limited supply so we recommend you move fast if you wish to add a piece to your collection. Supplied in a white card tray with information label.

Augite andesite igneous rock specimens from Thirlmere, Cumbria, UK which are of late Ordovician age which form part of the Barrowdale volcanic group. The samples are of intermediate composition and contain phenocrysts of the pyroxene mineral, augite, giving the normally dark blue rock a black speckled appearance. The samples are available in 3 sizes and come supplied in a card tray with a label.

elenite pencils are exquisite and captivating mineral formations that showcase the natural beauty of selenite, a form of gypsum. They exhibit a pristine translucence that allows light to pass through, creating a mesmerising glow when held to the light. Each selenite pencil measures approximately 14cm in height and 4cm in width whilst being smooth and well weighted. This makes them easy to hold whilst remaining promenant enough to stand out as a decorative piece. They all feature a flat, hexagonal base, making them easy to stand on a range of surfaces. Since these items are made from 100% natural selenite, it is common to expect some slight variance between each specimen, whether that be in shape, size or the occasional scratch. The Estwing E6-24PC geological hammer, also known as the ‘Big Blue’ hammer is a pointed tip strike tool which features a wider flat face, delivering more force per strike, making breaking and crushing of rock much easier.
