Moonstone feldspar mineral specimens, sometimes known simply as moonstone, is not actually from the moon, but a combination of orthoclase and albite which give the mineral a schilering effect in the light. Supplied in small 2″ x 2″ size pieces in a card tray with a data label.
Moonstone feldspar, sometimes simply known as moonstone is a mineral which belongs to the feldspar group, it's name is from the fact that it has a visual 'sheen' effect when in certain lighting condition due to how the layers of feldspar form. These are comprised of two feldspar, orthoclase and albite. The mineral has been used throughout history, mostly as a gemstone, in items of jewellery. These particular specimens come from India and are available in 2" x 2" size only, each sample will come supplied in a white card tray with an information label.
