Opthalmosaurus Vertebra Display Piece (1)

A large slab carved from genuine fossiliferous limestone rock containing numerous fossilised shell remains. The slab also has 4 large fossils displayed on it, 3 Goniatite shells (a species of ammaoid) and a large single Orthoceras shell (fossil squid shell). The slab has been fully polished on the front and edges and measures 45cm x 42cm at it’s widest points. Supplied With a free metal stand for displaying it on. Ideal for general fossil collectors or if your looking for that unique piece to show off in your home.

This specimen of Perisphinctes from Poitou, France shows everything of what one would expect from a typical ammonite fossil. The specimen is from the Jurassic period, Callovian and is 9cm in diameter.

Aegasteroceras Saggitarium fossil ammonite specimen found at Scunthorpe, north Lincolnshire, UK. The samples has been prepped and cleaned, exposing bold ribbing and clear features, before being mounted onto a block of oolitic ironestone. The shell measures 8 cm in diamter, the total block, weighs 2.15 kg and measures 22 cm in length. An excellent pieces, suitable for display either for collectores, educational use and enthusiasts.
