These specimens exhibit a pale blue – grey colour. They are available in multiple sizes and come in a white card tray with an information label.

These particular specimens are rough and unpolished, also containing quartz and come from India, the samples will come supplied in a polythene bag along with an information card, the pieces inside will vary in size between 20 mm to 75 mm, purchasing by weight is ideal for classes, kits or other events where larger quantities are required for a more cost effective price.

Talc is extremely soft, with a hardness of just 1 on Mohs scale and is also the primary component in talcum powder. These specimens are pale green in colour. Augite andesite igneous rock specimens from Thirlmere, Cumbria, UK which are of late Ordovician age which form part of the Barrowdale volcanic group. The samples are of intermediate composition and contain phenocrysts of the pyroxene mineral, augite, giving the normally dark blue rock a black speckled appearance. The samples are available in 3 sizes and come supplied in a card tray with a label.

These specimens are a deep reddish brown in colour with some specimens exhibiting clear banding. Please note that banding is not visible on all pieces.
