Peacock ore is the name given to a vibrantly colourful variation of chalcopyrite, a copper iron sulphide mineral which is easily recognizable due to it’s brass-yellow colouration and metallic lustre. This altered variation is referred to as peacock ore, due to its blue, purple and gold colouration. Like chalcopyrite, it is a copper mineral and extremely dense. These particular mineral samples we have available are from Mexico and exhibit a beautiful array of colours. Available in three different sizes, these samples comes supplied in a white card tray with an information label.
