Phylloceras semisulcatum ammonite fossil collected from the Cretaceous, Barrasian rocks of La Faurie (Hautes Alpes), France which date back approximately 139 to 145 Mya. Phylloceras is an extinct genus of ammonite which exploited Early Jurassic through to Late Cretaceous seas. Typically they have smooth and involute shells, meaning the early whorls are not visible. These particular specimens are approximately 1 cm in diameter and are supplied in small plastic bags with an information label.
